Fox Model IV Renard Bassoon, High D (Used) #25686

For sale is a 1998 Production Fox Model IV in great condition!  This high quality resonite bassoon is made in the USA by Fox, one of the premier bassoon makers in the world.  It is similar in design to the Fox model 41, but is a little higher quality and incudes a Ring C key and the High D Key.  The pads are in great condition because we have just finished overhauling this instrument and replaced most of the pads in the process.  It now plays cleanly and evenly up and down.  This is a great starter bassoon, and because of the high quality fox design, you will find that it will play better than many lesser quality wooden ones.  One standard bocal is included with the instrument.  From a cosmetic perspective, Most of the plastic body is in great shape and only has light scratching and small dings on the instrument from use over they years.   It polished up very well and the metal plating is in excellent shape, with some wear visible in a few locations. Overall though, it has held up well and is clean and shiny throughout most of the instrument.   The photos speak for themselves.  This instrument plays great, and looks great.  The case is a hard Fox case.  Also included is a silk swab, seat strap, hand crutch, and reed.  Please ask any questions about this instrument, we are happy to help.
